The best-known variety of mezcal. Named Espadín for its sword-like leaves, it reaches maturity between 6-8 years. It has a softer body and its aromas have notes of flowers and moist earth, smooth and very well balanced. It leaves the palate with a clean and delicate character with subtle notes of pepper, fruity tones, herbs, and light smokiness along with hints of minerals and a notably sweet finish.
