Tepeztate or Agave Marmorata is a prized wild agave that grows on steep and rocky cliffs, making it very difficult to harvest. It takes an average of 25 years to mature but it could be from 18 to 30 years in some cases. Its leaves grow on a wavy or twisted form. It has a deep and complex flavor. Sweet notes of wildflowers, intense herbal tones and spicy and mineral touches, fresh green flavors on the finish and
subtle fruit notes.
